How do I get Into Minecraft Betas


Each week we release early versions of Minecraft updates to test out new features, shake off the wrinkles and squash the bugs before they reach a wider audience. It's a cool way for players like you to check out the new features we're working on before it's released!



If you're excited about the idea of learning new things, and aren't worried the possibility of encountering bugs, check out the platform you're interested in.



These versions are unstable by nature, so things might be odd, wacky or simply wrong. The game may crash and your creations could be corrupted.  johnfladung.net It's not a huge risk, but it's still an opportunity to take a risk!



We offer regular test versions in the Java Edition. To enable Snapshots, go to the Launch Options tab and then click the arrow next the Play button on main tab.



XBOX One



Minecraft Preview is now available on Xbox One. This preview is free for anyone who owns a digital copy of Minecraft. It will also be available to Xbox Game Pass later this year. Unfortunately, it isn't available to use for disc owners. You can find out more about Preview at the Minecraft Preview FAQ.



WINDOWS 10 & 11



Windows now provides Minecraft Preview for free to all Minecraft owners and subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Learn more about Preview on the Minecraft Preview FAQ!



IPHONES AND IPHONES AND



iOS now has Minecraft Preview, which players can opt into through this link whenever slots are available. While the slots are limited but we'll open them up periodically, and we'll get rid of inactive players in order to allow new players to join. Android has a Beta program that you can join at any time if you already have Minecraft. You'll be replacing your current Minecraft version with this Beta version by joining the Beta program. The Beta version cannot access Realms or Featured servers. It can only be played in multiplayer worlds that are shared with other Beta users.



To join the Android Beta, click here and then click "Become a Tester." If you later decide to leave the Beta, you can click the same link and then "Leave the program" to leave the program. To get back to the official version of Minecraft, you will have to uninstall Minecraft and then reinstall it. Be aware that the worlds created during the beta program may not be available to play outside of the beta until the release of the next version.
